Prior to 23rd October, Typhoon ‘Fengshen’ raised concerns among all staff and students regarding the on-schedule delivery of the annual Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Primary Schools Joint Sports Day. Nevertheless, there remained eager anticipation for our "Star Athletes" to demonstrate their abilities on the field. Ultimately, favorable weather conditions and the athletes’ diligent efforts ensured all proceedings progressed smoothly.
At this year’s Sports Day, our school team upheld its established excellence with remarkable results: out of six team categories, five championships were secured, covering Boys’ & Girls’ Group A, Boys’ & Girls’ Group B, and Boys’ Group C; in individual events, 12 gold, five silver, four bronze, and four fourth-place finishes were achieved through the athletes’ prowess; relay events saw four gold, one silver, and one bronze medals, alongside three event records broken by our students. Furthermore, the school’s teacher delegation claimed victory in the Teachers’ Relay Race, enabling our school to retain the Overall Championship for the third consecutive year.
In addition to the students' outstanding performance in sports competitions, our students dispatched to participate in various tasks of the sports meet this year is equally commendable. They took on roles such as assistant referees for the competitions, Scouts, and student representatives delivering speeches, ensuring the smooth running of the event.
