Discovery Learning

Discovery Learning

1. Mission , Vision and feature:

The school-based discovery learning curriculum aims to cultivate students’ generic skills and values. The curriculum will conduct explorative learning activities in a project-based learning mode with themes that are suitable for each level. The project themes will be designed according to students’ abilities and interests. Students are required to carry out various group activities and cooperate and communicate with one another; they also need to collect data by utilizing information technology, reading books and doing fieldwork. After gathering the data, students will have to calculate, record, analyze and critique or even suggest ideas that can improve or solve the problem. Through sharing one another’s learning processes and giving creative yet diversified presentations, such as oral presentation, exhibition boards, posters, dramas, drawing and PowerPoint presentations, students can develop their expressive language skills, self-management skills and self-learning skills.

Ultimately, we hope students to be proactive explorers in seeking well-being by implementing positive education. We also hope our students to be world citizens of virtue that are thoughtful, cooperative, innovative, communicative.
