To provide more opportunities for parents and students to spend quality time together, the school hosted the “Play Clever: Parent-Child Emerging Sports Fest Parent-child Activity” on 25 April. Through engaging the emerging sport from Finland: Finnish Wooden Chess, students had the chance to sharpen their mathematical scoring abilities and strategic thinking. Beyond the competition, the session allowed participants to learn how to navigate winning and losing, fostering true sportsmanship and the value of supporting their teammates.
The activity also encouraged positive communication, with parents and children working together to plan their next moves. It was wonderful to see both generations enjoying such meaningful quality time together.
