In order to encourage schools to actively participate in school sports competitions, cultivate students' balanced development of moral, intellectual, physical, social and aesthetic education, and enhance the level of sports in Hong Kong, the Schools Sports Federation of Hong Kong, China has established a Hong Kong primary school sports award scheme - Gold and Silver Awards. The awards are based on school performance in track and field, swimming, futsal, basketball, volleyball, badminton and table tennis. The schools with the highest scores are rewarded gold and silver awards respectively. In Shatin District, only 1 school won the gold medal and 4 schools won the silver medals.
Our school stood out among more than 40 primary schools in Shatin District and successfully won the silver medal.
No matter whether we won or lost, it was definitely the result of tough training in every week, the full support of the parents and the professional instruction by teachers and coaches. We hope that the young athletes will shine again and go beyond themselves in various competitions next year.
