Over the following few days, we travelled to the Cheakumas Centre for an ecological learning experience. Staying and learning in a forest environment was truly special. Each day featured different activities, such as learning to use a compass for navigation, building tents with wood, starting campfires, chopping and splitting wood, experiencing Indigenous games, and walking through the forest for sensory experiences. We also saw ancient trees, learned about salmon, participated in campfire, and even went canoeing in the jungle. All these activities were designed to be engaging and educational, allowing students to learn and experience nature in fun ways.
Our trip to Canada was incredibly beneficial, and everyone returned filled with knowledge and memories.
