Our school's fourth annual sports day took place on 2 February 2024 at the Ma On Shan Sports Ground. Teachers and students enthusiastically participated in the event, which featured various activities, including the parent-child relay races and class-based competitive events for lower primary students. The involvement and enjoyment of both students and parents were remarkable. The whole-class competitions showcased the strong team spirit within each class. Students from Primary 3 to 6 participated in a range of track and field events, with over 700 students taking part in the competitions. They gave their all, sweating on the sports field, facing challenges head-on, and delivering their best performances. While not everyone may have won awards, the dedication of the students and the cheers from the spectators added excitement to the sports day. We were also honoured to have Dr. Kam Wai Keung, chief lecturer of the Department of Health and Physical Education at the Education University of Hong Kong, as a guest. Dr. Kam encouraged the students, emphasizing that winning is not the most important aspect. The true essence of sports lies in the process itself. Through exercise and competition, we continuously improve ourselves, work tirelessly, and make progress. This is the spirit of sports. Lastly, we hope that the students will continue to work hard, showcase their talents on the sports field, and create wonderful memories of their growth and development.
