Our teacher led the P.2 students in working on a farm to learn about organic farming principles. They personally participated in various farming tasks such as soil loosening, bed preparation, weeding, sowing, thinning, transplanting, fertilizing, watering, and harvesting. This hands-on experience allowed them to immerse themselves in the life of a farmer. Additionally, the students also had the opportunity to feed and care for small animals such as lambs and rabbits.
The activity aimed to familiarize the students with the basic knowledge of organic cultivation, allowing them to experience the joy of farming and understand the hard work of farmers. Through this, they would gain an appreciation for the principle of 'you reap what you sow' and learn to cherish food.
